It’s no secret that Maine is my absolute favorite place on earth. I make a point of gushing about it to everyone I meet, and I am so thankful that I get to live and work here. With that in mind, I’ve decided to put together a series that I am calling “Why ME”, where I highlight some of the many, many things I love about Vacationland.
This first episode is highlighting Portland’s First Friday Art Walk, a monthly event during the warmer months where artists of all colors (performance, print, music) get together for a half a mile along Congress Street to perform, sell, and be generally quirky.
This is also the first test of my new camera, the Sony A7R ii. I’m a six year Canon-kid, but when I heard about what this camera could do, I was sold. Needless to say, I’m thrilled with it.
Keep an eye out next week for a video featuring a B-52 crash site, a downed fire tower, and a pretty cute dog.
